Definitely a high quality piece. Bought it specifically for the DRG. At this price, it's a hugely indulgent purchase. Like way too many of us who ride, we spend more on silly cycle-related things like this than we could ever possibly justify. Then again, can't take it with you...Might as well enjoy the ride!

Classic Style Meets Modern Motorcycle Protection

Classic Style Meets Modern Motorcycle Protection

There's something refreshing about motorcycle apparel that doesn't immediately look like motorcycle apparel.

The Brummell x DGR 2026 Limited Edition Blazer brings together two things that rarely coexist successfully: traditional gentleman's tailoring and genuine motorcycle protection.

The dark brown checked Italian merino wool gives the jacket a timeless, understated appearance. Beneath that traditional exterior are Kevlar abrasion protection and CE-certified armor. The result is a thoughtful combination of classic style and modern engineering.

What particularly appeals to me is the attention to detail. The tailored construction, freedom of movement designed for riding, removable protective elements, and windproof inner layer suggest this was developed with actual motorcyclists in mind.

Limited to just 100 individually numbered examples, the blazer also celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, supporting a cause that brings motorcycle enthusiasts together for something greater than riding itself.

At $749, this certainly isn't an inexpensive motorcycle jacket. And with its Class A certification, it's important to recognize that it's intended for a different purpose than more substantial touring apparel.

But for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, a Sunday outing on a classic BMW, or simply arriving somewhere without looking like you've just completed the Dakar Rally, the concept is particularly appealing.

Traditional craftsmanship, understated elegance, and meaningful protection. A rather distinguished approach to motorcycling.

Cheers,
Bruce

This Thing Is Awesome!

I won this jacket as a prize for being the #1 DGR Fundraiser in the world. It basically has an inner windproof jacket that the blazer hangs on. It has the ability to protect your neck on a chilly day. Some or all of that liner is removable for warm days. I haven't tried yet but I am fairly confident I will be able to pull the liner and wear by airbag under the jacket. I am 6' tall 180 pounds, I wear a 40 jacket, this in a 40 fits perfect, but if I gained 5 pounds would be tight. I was skeptical of this product. I never would have bought this online. After trying it on I am super impressed. If you have use for a pretty good looking blazer that is a legit piece of motorcycle gear this is worth $700
