Every brand has moments that feel like quiet victories. For us, one of those moments arrived recently in the form of a simple message from the USPTO: Brummell has been granted its first U.S. Utility Patent.

If you’ve been following our journey, you already know this wasn’t born out of a marketing idea. It started with a frustration every rider knows too well: the feeling of being stuck choosing between looking sharp and being protected. And somewhere along the way, the stubborn belief formed that maybe a tailored blazer and genuine motorcycle protection didn’t have to live in two different worlds.

This patent is the formal recognition that the idea actually worked.

How we got here

The idea behind Brummell was never to reinvent motorcycling or tailoring by themselves, but to rethink the space in between. Could you ride in something you would also confidently walk into a meeting, a dinner, or an event wearing?

The early prototypes made it clear that the answer wasn’t going to come easily. Some versions looked good but didn’t feel right on the bike. Others performed beautifully but lost their elegance. Patterns were rebuilt, materials re-evaluated, and entire concepts reshaped again and again.

What kept us going was the vision: a blazer you can ride in, and a protective garment you can live in.

Not just a jacket disguised as tailoring, and not tailoring pretending to be something it’s not. Something new.
